Gas tank replacement

Changed fuel system components - injectors, fuel regulator, pump.  Racetronix 255lph complete unit to re-install in the tank.  How many of you have kept the factory gas tank with the plastic baffles?  Mine looks to not be cracked inside, outside ok just has undercoating sprayed all over it so it isn't pretty.  If it ain't broke, don't replace it?  I have the understanding that the plastic baffles can crack and then not be effective.  While the system is dry, I'd rather just replace it now if enough people recommend it and maybe (2) new stainless retaining straps?  Thoughts and comments appreciated.

If not rusty, stick with the factory tank.  No worries if the baffling in the new tank is enough that way

The new pump pulls more current and a hot wire kit may well eliminate another problem down the road

Thanks Steve / Scoobum.  Highway Stars has a pressure tested unit available at a good price if I needed to replace.  Have heard of people beating on the bottom of the tank to jar debris loose around pickup area (when in reality pump is going out probably) which then transfers the energy into the plastic baffle and cracks it.

Yep - just leave it. You can get tanks all over if need be.
