Did anyone find out which hotel yet ?
I'm looking to see if I can get some sort of travel package.
Also, what are the rules for flying with laptops/cell phones ?

That's the website- I check it pretty much daily hoping for news on the hotel....but none yet. You can bring a cell phone on the plane, but it cannot be used while the plane is in motion....I know you can bring a laptop, but I don't think that you can go online with it because they always announce, '...you can use your wireless device as long as it's wireless mode is disabled.'

If you need a ride from the airport, just let me know.

I don't think that it has been confirmed yet, quickest information available on that will probably a phone call to Nick Micale in Phoenix.

It was mentioned earlier that they were looking into a block of 20 rooms at the cannery, and that they would confirm that later. 20 rooms will go in less than a heartbeat, probably.
Donno about laptops/cellphones.

With the races being at night time, 5:00 PM Fri for the "test and tune" and 6:00 PM Sat, for ther races themselves, there's gfoing to be plenty of time to "whore around"
I thought that Uncle Sam bought the bunny ranch and then it closed, the most famous of the brothels. If I hang out in the casinos during the fckng day, I will be either very fckng broke, very fckng drunk, or very fckng both, drunk and broke. Looks like we are going to have to fend for ourselves for a place to stay at, and pay regular prices, too, to fckng boot. We all really need to decide on our own where we are going to stay at, whether it with ourselves, or with the largest group staying at one place. A lot of people will be at the cannery. Considering that we have already been advisd that we are not getting a group discount, we need to determine a place to stay at and start getting reservations individually so we have the best shot at getting everybody together. From the sounds of everything, my guess would be that if we mention Buick, racing, drags, we may get told that they are full up. I am definitely not interested in drinking and then driving. Might even consider a fckng cab to and from the races to avoid Nevada's finest. Im would have rather had day racing, night partying than the other way around. If we start getting reservations now individually, we could probably get the most people at the same place. Amny fckng ideas? Those are females whores and not male whores, right. Where's Phil at, by the way, speaking of male prostitutes?

Hey, I know a chick who works at the Orleans. I'll see if I can work something out with her, if she can do something. I was thinking of cabbing myself to and from the track. As far as day is concerned, I'm getting tore.

I'm still looking into some package deals and stuff. I may fly out
on the 12th. I'm thinking about going to the Hoover Dam and/or
The Grand Canyon on the 13th. Could hit some places during the day
before the races too !

Hoover dam is 10 minutes away, but the Grand Canyon is a bit of a drive, homeboy. Especially if you want to see the north rim (which they say is the best) you'll be driving all day and half the night.....they have helicopter rides to the Grand Canyon that take off right from the Strip- don't know how much they cost, though.
