General Buick Tech / Re: busted rear end« on: March 05 2015, 01:27:53 PM »
I've run trutracs a lot in roundy roundy cars, now granted they were in quick change rear ends that are stupid loud by themselves. They seemed quiet to me, compared to detroit lockers and any clutch type that feels like it has rocks in it.
I like them. 110

thanks guys, unforunately I dont know why Mike McCoy is, I also dont have an HD actuator (only the stock one).
I could use a catalyst hanger also if the treasure trove is that good for g-body stuff. (thanks a ton in advance either way) 111

Looking for a decent TE wastegate actuator and the wire loom that mounts to the front cover studs and holds up the alternator wire between the alt and battery.

I have them in a sprint car engine. 2.08 Ti intake valves @ 9000rpm, service life is double what we run with the standard rollers at less rpm. That said, its a cost savings for us to run them. YMMV 115
IHADAV8 Playground / Re: Ammo is being banned now!!!« on: March 02 2015, 01:09:33 PM »
no one cared when the cheap mil surplus 7N6 russian ammo was banned for import (5.45x39 for an AK74), now it effects the AR crowd and the whole world has to know.
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. 116

good point!
around 6:30 you can hear the 1/2" drive electric impact in this video working pretty hard to run the pump. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1I_9854y_o&list=UUmtNb4VMnSXVbauJ4Dfn96w 117

If you didnt have an oil pressure gauge, couldnt you pin out the oil pressure switch with a DVM to check open vs. ground while you prime the pump?

I'm also not saying that I'd be doing a lot of body work other than some bumper fillers. It looks like the rockers and quarters are solid, and I just like how it has rusted, almost looks two tone. 120
