Insanely simple: momentary push button across the output jack.

I'm thinking you pretty much open the circuit right? In the up position the button closes the contact, when pushed it opens it, rendering your tone worthless. Single pole, single throw?

We used to do this with Les Pauls, I'd cut the volume on the neck pickup and crank the bridge pickup. Then I'd flick between middle position and neck. Got that from Tom Morello.

Randy Rhoads was where I got that technique from.
As for the switch: Its a momentary push button normally open circuit.
When pushed it closes thus shorting out the output of the guitar. So it works a little
different that the Les Paul method.(which was used in the first piece of music
I had sent Sylvan.)

I'm looking at the Tech21 Trademark 30 amp right now. I first played through a Roland Cube-30X, and it was like when you drink any other beer. But when compared to the sweet malt liquor, it's just water.

http://www.roland.com/products/en/CUBE-30X/index.html

I really only wanted it because I've always wanted a Roland Jazz Chorus 120. But then I played this mofo:

And while I'm not a fan of digital effects, the Trademark 30 is still hard-wired, analog goodness. I don't know what the fuck they put in their equipment, but Tech21 is scary good compared to tube amps. I've got an original SansAmp and a Tri-AC, and I think now I will have this as a practice amp.

I will also be pairing this up with the hot-rodded Fender amp I have and switch between both with a hi-gain amp switch. I've always found that finding an amp to do all your sounds is a pain in the ass. So now I can retain that legitimate, thick, tubey Fender tone and use the Tech21 for distorted sounds I can still control clipping on. I think I'm getting chub.

Its funny that you had mentioned them. I was looking into this
to replace my dated ADA MP-1.

Dude, try it. Find a shop that has one, even if you have to walk into a damn Guitar Center, try it out. If worse comes to worse, order it from Guitar Center and you have 30 days to beat on it.

Yeah, I thought that guy was kinda cool. And since the bass was black, it was begging for it. :psix;

So I've decided maybe it's time to start selling my blood and semen for a kick ass amp. What I wouldn't do for a Howard Dumble...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dumble_Amplifiers

Or an old Fender Quadraverb, ala Albert Collins.

Speaking of which, I've just found the Holy Grail of Fender specs...
