Well there went that Trans
« on: January 27 2007, 03:11:14 AM »
Work was sending me down to Robbins, GA for work Fri and Sat, going to work out great. Track down here opens on Sat at noon, paid to work/travel and go to the track...Damn things at looking up....NOT, Drive the first 50 miles of mostly back roads, hit the freeway on ramp at give it 1/4-1/2 throttle. Car starts to pull then BAM...car stop pulling, pull it down to D...nothing, 2st ...nothing. Coast to shoulder of ramp and try R ...nothing but a pump noise. Car got towed home :( sad to watch. Picked up a rental and went to work..Now on a brighter side I got to go bowling with Charles Long and his Cuz, got my a$$ handed to me by Charles but had a GOOD time

Wait, were you racing on the job? That's what you get! LOL Yeah, I know how depressing it is seeing your car on a flatbed. Sorry about the tranny, the 86 right? I don't think 83's had OD. Where are you going to take it? KMA needs a build on his TTA, maybe you can recommend someone to him.

Well looking at getting a mostly stock trans, 10 val pump, harden stat, shift kit with maybe a Pat's 10" convertor, but I only want a 2800 stall..not sure if they can do that low. May upgrade the exhaust as well with a 3" single shot.

I got a 12" Pat's 2800 stall that's awesome, and I rock the stock turbo.
