Omega made the first watch that went to the moon...Hella high quality, you'll need a fat wallet to carry enough money to buy that thing.

Why are you dead set on Omegas? I could give you a couple reasons to buy a Movado over an Omega. A couple superficial reasons too. I've owned both and still own a Movado.

Because I have worn Omegas all of my life, and I have 3 now, but I had an opportunity to purchase that watch about 4 years ago for about 2K, they were about 3k new, Now??? Older Omegas are like turbo Buicks, they go up in value, not drastic, but consistent. And years back, I had one of the first watch on the moon. I have one now in 2 tone, a little dressier, but not too much. That's a very bad picture, but you get the general idea. That is one of the 3 that I own now. I own # 992 of 1000 that was a special model watch built for the calgary-Seoul Olympics, maybe in mid '80's?.

My 3 Omega watches:
Top Row: far left: My favorite Omega watch, i don't know the name of this watch, but it is Serial # 9XX of 1000 watches made for the Seoul-Calgary Olympics back in about '87 or so.
Top Row: far right: omega Speedmaster, 2 tone, circa maybe '87 or so
lower row; middle: Omega that I generally wear to work, so the others don't get beat up at work. The top two are probably off on dates and so forth as I haven't worn either one for a while. The Seoul-Calgary Commertative Omega is battery operated and probably needs a battery. The speedmaster is a wind, and the lower one is a battery.
