« on: December 05 2006, 12:46:42 PM »
Just got a 28mm lens in the mail. Just what
I wanted for my Christmas light project.

You make me jealous Rob. I'm still looking for an A-1.

So whatcha gonna do with an 28mil and Christmas lights? Sounds deviant... :)

I want to experiment with some wide angle stills. I may also try
playing with the field of view and a star filter(for lack of the technical nomiclature).
I'm also going to try a zoom shot of the roof of my buddies house. He has the
lights strung spelling out "MERRY XMAS". But its only visible from far away
due to the pitch of his roof.

I sent off the first roll. It should be back on Tuesday.
I got a couple of star filters on ebay. Got a 6pt for the wide angle lens,
and a 4pt for the 50mm lense. I just went through all my lenses, and discovered that they're all the same sizes as far as filters go.
28mm wide angles both take 49mm
50mm both take 52mm
an
Zooms both take 55mm.

The next ones will be with the Ricoh.

Nice. I need to develop a roll of 120 I shot with my Holga. I slaved a studio strobe system at school with the fucking Holga flash. These should be interesting.

I totally bypassed 35mil, I think next semester I'll take a darkroom class.

OK, here goes. Just got the pics back. Its tough focusing in
low light, amazingly they all came out. Not bad considering
this was the first time I used this camera.

Wait, there are many...

The first one from the last post, and these three are of a house in Londonderry, NH that used to belong to Roger Clemens when he was with the Boston Red Sox.

This house is set up with paths in the yard for people who
are there to view the lights, But I prefered the view of the back yard from the other side of the brook. This first pic is one of my personal favorites. I took it with my
camera resting on the roof of my truck so you get a second reflection on the roof
of the truck.

:rofl; I haven't even put up my Christmas Tree yet.
The last pic is of the same house as the last 3pics.
The Christmas tree pics are from Down town Derry, NH.
I experimented with laying on the ground looking up at the tree
to see If I'd get a different effect.

These last 2 are from downtown Derry again. These were taken late at
night looking down East and West Broadway(aka. Rte 102). I took one of them while I was physically standing in the middle of the road.
