Downtown Disney - a 10 minute stumble from the HOB. :D

I'm sure I'll get in some trouble.

Make sure they're lubricated in case they forget to spit on your ass!

Sigh... Queensryche...

UPDATE!

Whoa - what a roller coaster ride.  :snakeman:

Promised myself I wouldn't go out Friday night - ended up at the pool hall across the street. Didn't get too torn up, made it home ~ 1:00AM.

The reason I didn't want to go out was that on Saturday I had to help a friend with a brake job on a '96 Isuzu Oasis LS van (Honda Oddysey).

Go up, and moving about 9:30, finally made it to my bud's house about 11:00AM. Turnoed out the master cylinder had leaked out the back, and ruined the brake booster. Fun job replacing that in a Jap POS.  :jerkit;

I couldn''t finish it, the guy's house we we working on it at finished up, (and the two of them ended up drinking alomost a case of beer) I had to jet, I was meeting Darin, the dude I was going to the show with, @ 4:00PM.

He picked me up at my place, had a cooler full of beer, OJ, cranberry, and a bottle of raspberry Smirnoff. Got there, checked into hotel, and rolled up to the penthouse to see a bud of his. Cool guys, I was drinking Icehouse by then.
Left there, went back to our room, then I split to go downstairs and meet a customer/friend of mine, his wife, and a friend they brought. She was nothing to look at, and seemed bitchy, I would find out my instincts were correct. We all had a drink or 2, my bud Darin came down from the room, and we went to grab the shuttle (Haha Hotel is NEXT to Pleasure Island, we're just lazy). Made it to Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island in about 5 minutes, we needed to get something to eat, but it was getting close to showtime. Grabbed some grub at the McDonalds there (HUGE), and rushed to the show. If you haven't been to a House Of Blues - it's a great place. Since we got there JSUT as they started the first number, , and it was SRO, we didn't get the best view of the stage, but it worked out. Mainly just pounded $4.25 beers and banged my head, throw in some Jager bombs etc, the fun part was stumbling back to the room. The beer goggles attacked Darin, he ended up making out with the troll, who did indeed turn out to be a REAL bitch.

We went back to my friend's room for a drink, chilled out, then I headed (read: stumbled) back to the room.

I woke up Sunday AM with my hat still on, REALLY feeling shitty. Turns out, the night before, Darin had lost his room key, and after beating on the door for what seemed forever, he summoned security, and talked them into letting him in the rrom. One problem though, I had passed out on the floor blocking the door.  (:atbeer: x eleventy billion) After shoving me out of the way and getting in, Darin finally got me awake. He said I put up a  :supz:  and said "Whooo! Party!" :D

First thing Darin did when I woke up Sunday, was hand me a strong Madras, (I *never* drink before 5PM (unless it's a football game)) and 2 more later I was home.

Took a shower, and fell asleep until 7PM Sunday night.

My voice is still scratchy, and other than the miserable whore, it was an amazing night.

I was a little bummed about the show, the first set was the entire Operation Mindcrime 1, then after the break, the did the entire Operation Mindcrime II album, only 2 other songs, Jet City Woman, and one other I don't remember. Chris DeGarmo's replacement (Who I found out had been a guitar tuner for him on tour for years) did a great job, and as always - Geoff Tate was fucking amazing.

Overall - a good time, I did feel like doing this Sunday night :smt078 , but all was good..

Catch them in concert if you can!!
