09 Cadillac CTS-V
« on: May 18 2024, 11:14:12 AM »
I'm blessed to have friends who entrust me to work on their prized possessions.
My buddy Gus has this beautiful 2009 Cadillac CTS-V that needs some love.
The supercharger drive coupler is failing as they all do - I'm going to replace it with an aftermarket solid unit, install a Cold air intake, oil catch can, plugs/wires, coolant flush, and oil change.
Unfortunately, the entire supercharger needs to be removed to pull the snout off to get to the coupler/isolator.

He isn't interested in making it faster - just needs some maintenance and wants to hear the blower.
First pic is tear down and the 2nd is all back together - think he'll notice?

Jeremy...you have a natural talent for working on vehicles. Throw an ad on Craigslist or whatever you have there and you'll be swamped with work.

Brad - I can’t keep up as it is.
While I enjoy working on cars - it’s not something I want to do as a job nor will my body let me

First time I’ve talked someone out of a tune. The car is so good I don’t want to fuck it up.
All it’d do is spin the tires more with all the factory nannies disabled

NICE car !!  :cool; I looked at the wagon version .  I really liked it. Needed something low so my dog could get in an out of it. I also left my car stock (not a Caddy) . 600hp all wheel drive . This new stuff is amazing .

The engineering blows my mind.  I think and engineering degree might help.

Yaklin has a 170. He told me that he generally just mats it!
