Back saver 9000 - so far it's been worth every penny.

My little experience with one suggests tht it might be worth more than gold, or catalytic converters!

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

That reminds me while it’s apart I need to get the numbers off the cars and see what they are worth. Might pay for headers/ypipe lol

LOL, I gave about three to some guy if he would haul off some other junk for me.  Another dumb thing I could have made some money from but hate going to places and getting screwed on stuff I sell

I fired it up Sunday - let it run for 30 seconds. Instant 60+psi of oil pressure, and I couldn't believe how quiet it was with all the exhaust leaks fixed and a quiet valve train. It's way too cold to heat cycle it in the barn at the moment, so that'll wait until all the maintenance is done.
Yesterday I changed the ball joints, the idler arm, and the pitman arm. I've still got to install inner/outer tie rod ends, sway bar bushing/endlinks, and then service the transmission and differentials since I'm sure it hasn't been done ever.

Just need to change the trans fluid/filter and check the toe. Like a dumbass I forgot to measure first so I guess I’ll see where it is and how well I can get it to drive. Might need to go for an alignment

set up some string across (and parallel to) the rear tires and across the front tires.  Set the toe on the front within the two strings

Black Friday I was bored - so I cut the muffler off and put a Hooker Aerochamber on it. Now that it sounds good - it's time to tackle the leaking rear main seal.
About 5 hours in and it's torn down to the point that I can fix the rear main seal lol

Probably be done this weekend - the transmission to transfer case gasket won't be here until Friday.
The transmission dipstick tube was stuck pretty good and the transmission was seized on the dowels. I dropped a few fbombs but it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.

Just got back from a test drive - other than reinstalling the transfer case solo, it was pretty easy. It's snowing so I even got to test 4wd
