air dam re-paint to textured black
«

I am thinking about re painting my air dam from dark red metallic to the same color as the stock air dams. Was thinking it would look better. Do you think this color is a good match for the stock air dams? Anyone?
Obviously I won't use rust-oleum but thinking that the stock dams are textured black...... Look at the cap color.
I took some pics in the sun and the air dam does not match the body. So 2 choices correct body paint or textured black.

I think it will look good. I am not sure what textured black is. The factory paint, if they used paint, was a satin like...but, I really think it was just the color of the material and not painted. We used to use a sem paint black.

I don't have the originals to compare I sold them but its plastic and theres definitely a very small texture to them.
What did you use the sem paint black on the air dams?
When I first got the air Dam it was gloss black and I didn't like it. Here's a shitty pic of it.

used it on the dams and the headlight surrounds.. I think satin would look much better than shiny

I gave up on black. I thought it was too much on the sides. If the sides were shorter then black would have worked. I seem to think that's why I painted them back in 1988 from black to what I could find on the shelf that was close to my body color. I went with the body color match. Dark red metallic.
