lowering the rear

Im cheap so years ago I cut down the front springs to lower the front about 1 inch. Now with the taller M&H tires on the rear it has to much height in the back, looks silly. Question is, can i cut the backs down the same way to get the back down some. I know i cant cut the one end but the other looks like i can??

just use a saw and take a little at a time...saw so the heat does not weaken the spring

most real car guys are cheap....
