« on: August 17 2021, 10:50:24 AM »
I was watching Drag racing this weekend and saw that both John and his daughter won their outings.  I didn't realize he was 72!  That is awesome that he still doing what he loves at the age.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

Nice, I am sure you will have a blast!  It's a 5 hr drive for me to Brainerd, there use to be lots of the local racers that attend the event.  Always a good time!

4 hours for us...worth it. Force lost but made a great save keeping it out of the wall. Matt Hagen gave my son a connecting rod and then later a signed piston! And then he won the event so was a great weekend.

Sounds like a blast!  I still remember the first time in the pits, your hacking from the fuel and your eyes are watering then there is the blast from the motor and there goes your ears! :icon_lol:

I was at an IHRA event many years ago watching in the pits & when the engine came to life my ears rang for 2 days but it was a great weekend. Don't think I'd do that again without some ear protection because it was really Loud!  :O
