rapid flashing ses
« on: August 06 2020, 04:25:00 PM »
so my sis light rapidly flashes with key on,   so I unplugged the ecm power wire   then reinstalled it an it went away.
my question is. this happens randomly   the ecm is a modded one. an the chip is a tt 5.7    I looked at the socket it appears ok. an I didn't see any bent prongs on the chip,

on a side note the car also randomly. dies like the ign is turned off while cruising or coming to a stop

ya think this is related an. what do you recommend I do to fix this?
thanks

Make sure the bolt that holes the wiring to the ignition module is backed out about 1/8 turn.

If it's ran down tight, it can cause really odd shit to happen.  (like randomly cutting off from time to time)

Normally a chip/ecm problem...or if you have PL, a problem with it making good connection on the end of the ecm.

what codes does it report?

Battery cable to the starter is rubbing on the frame. It's hard to see.

Chip isn't in the socket correctly.
