hey natty

yeah i bought the adjustable upper and udjustable lowers and saved like 74$.

the only thing is they are doing it first come first serve. we need 20 people- but he said if there is alot of orders for the same thing they might not have enough stock to put out the first day- but it shouldnt be a long wait. they get shipped in order as they were ordered once the 20th person orders.

they make some great stuff- i was looking to save a couple $ and ryan told me if i got 20 people he would do 15% off so ive been trying to push it lately- not many vendors are that genrouse

Their regular prices are good! Too bad I already have the Hotchkis setup,
and a drive shaft loop.

I am sure they have great products, but the control arms need to have a heim joint at the frame side. That may be hurting sales.

Hi Andrew,

The G Bodies have a four link rear suspension. Two upper control arms and two lower control arms. As you know these two sets of arms are of different lengths AND connect to the diff/axle at two completely different angles.

As the rear end moves the two sets of arms are moving at different arcs and this is worsened by the different lengths. This causes a bind in the movement of the rear suspension. Now this is not all that a big of a deal for a street car or even a drag car, it is a huge problem for a corner carving *g* machine.

Heim Joints are also called a spherical bearing. Instead of the standard bushings you see in almost all of the suspension applications which are basically a tube. Those bushings are just fine and will not fail any faster or slower than the heim. The 'tube' allows for free movement up and down BUT not side to side.

The heim is kinda like a ball joint that will allow for some articulation of the arm as it swings through it's path.

Confused? Me too!  :D

In recent postings on the Buick boards most people want the heim joint thus my original statement.  :D

Many of the manufacturers are using the heim joints
on the upper control arms now. Probably because its
easier to make them adjustable that way. I think the
articulation was an after thought.
