Recieved to turbo in the mail yesterday from Chris Garrett..Start ed about 7:30pm or so removing the old turbo...quit at 10:30pm...turbo out..new turbo just sitting on the engine..Do you know how hard it is to change turbos without removing the bracket... I DO.. Worked on it for about 1 hour tonight when I got home..turbo is bolted to bracket and uppipe, oil line on...I quit for the night...

Jim, with what you have, I think that a stock turbo is a waste of time.
You shoul've upgraded, and base lined with the new turbo. IMHO

I could not pass up the price for the stocker..shipp ing. I'm a firm believer that you need to base line first. I won't have upgraded the injectors if it wasn't for the drive and they are the orginals. I'm still on the fence about the turbo..I have time. I have no real goal for this car. I do for the 83..I want to get booted from the track for no roll bar..a heafty goal for a carb car...
