SM readings
« on: June 18 2018, 03:41:45 PM »
Hello

New GN owner here.
Hook up a Scanmaster today and was wondering what you guys thought about the readings.
With the exception of a new Densco O2 sensor and 2 breathers for the valve covers, and some NGK spark plugs I noticed.
Its a very original 87 GN with 57k Miles or 94k Kms for us Canadians.

In park idling in the garage after a short drive.
Closed loop
O2V 302-785
MAF 5
LV8 37-39
Volts 13.3 13.4
INT 122-129
BLM 131
Coolant 182
Air Temp 96
RPM 775
TPS .40
IAC 11-13
O2CC 120

Thanks
Norm

Coolant pretty high but it could be sitting and have a stock stat in it.
Other numbers look decent to me. Is it not running well?

Numbers are fine. Post the numbers again when you get Erics chip...and don't go WOT with that stock chip. I'm not interested in driving to Winterpeg to change head gaskets.

I kinda thought it idles just a bit rough, But I'm comparing it to my 13 Jeep...LOL
Other wise it runs and drives great.
I hope to run into Frozfed one of these days and get his opinion?

I just got the car last fall and I'm slowly learning and going though it.
Is the OEM stat a 180?

No worries I won't hit WOT, I'll hang tough till I install the new pump, and order a chip and injectors.
Slow but sure I'll get it all done.
