Steve would it have made any difference if it was a MSD roller bearing cam sensor? The car did have 83 pound injectors.

Just for the record...60 lb injectors, 38 psi on the FPR. Runs worse with the cam sensor unplugged. Not running SD.

We only used it racing. Would use it high in 2nd gear or when it shifted to 3rd.

Got one with an Extender chip and 60# injectors that does not idle well and the injectors make a lot of noise..which they do go off and on twice as fst in Batch mode so that makes sense.

TT 5.6 with 60# injectors runs badly

SD2 with 80's   minimal change in AF's-idled ok

I'm guessing Dan was referring to his Stage engine with a distributor that included an efi cam sync but I might be wrong.  MSD does make such an animal

Cool...what's that? I got 3 or 4 spare cam sensors...all stock.

Car was warmed up. Coolant temp going from 172-165 with the fan cycling.  IAT 118-122. Idle AFR was 13.0 with -2 correction.


Unplugged the cam sensor and immediately got code 16 on the TR6 thru the tach.  Idle seemed unchanged then I looked at the data.  AFR went to 12.7-12.8 with 0 correction target is 13.0.  It was like it went to open loop.  No other changes that I noted.  I didn't drive the car.

I'm guessing that the batch fire mode which fires the injectors twice as often is responsible for the AF change

You must be running a dual fan and at night. That is a cool car. I guess my rad needs some work as I'm lucky if the temp is 180* unless it is moving.
