Timing Cover
« on: May 10 2018, 08:57:18 PM »
OK,

I just installed a new cam and lifters. While I had the front cover off, I did the earlbrown mods. My question is, can the front cover be installed with the cam sensor already inserted into it (with the engine set up at 25 ATDC)?  Ya never know till you ask :chin:

I don't think the gears would mesh up with the cam but I guess you could try. I wouldn't do it that way.

might end up cracking the cover and never get a mesh plus the odds against being installed correctly would be about one in six

Thanks Guys,

This is my first time pulling and reinstalling the front cover. I'll just install the cam sensor once the cover is on.
