I am trying to measure my preload so that I can order new push rods I need to know if you measure them with the adjuster screw flush or with threads showing and how many? Thanks....

Every engine we've had built we've used the stock rockers. I would think you would have to know the recommended preload from the manufacturer for the lifter...set it at that...and then take a measurement of your adjustable pushrod. I'll call my engine builder...and have him post.

i would see if it's possible to make the adjuster socket-to-shaft center square at mid-lift first.
Odds are it's not possible since it would infringe Jim Miller's patent. but the only way to know is to check.
If it can be set square at mid lift, all you need is to verify you have enough thread engagement, then put in the length checker and add the desired preload number.

Thanks for the reply.... I tried to contact T&D I would assume that they are closed today. I looked on TAPerformance site and they showed the correct geometry to be with no threads showing out the bottom but I thank that Harland Sharp Rockers calls for two threads to be showing. Right now I am measuring 8.75 turns on my push rod adjuster which means that I should need a 8.250 length push rod however if two threads should be showing that means that I will need a 8.200 push rod. Sorry for the long post. Thanks...

I would use the TAP instructions. When I don't know for sure. I start with one turn out.

I am running the Champion GN1 Aluminum heads with T&D Roller Rocker arms and I went with the 8.250 length push rods. Worked out fine.
