Surveillance programs?
« on: November 23 2017, 10:27:55 AM »
We set up some ip/wifi surveillance cameras at work. The cheap computer program isnt doin what the boss wants and we cant find a good program to test because you gotta buy it first.

Boss wants to buy but wants to make sure it has features he wants. Like, motion audible alerts. Record when there's motion.

He's using a Windows 10 pc. Suggestions?

We got a nice FLIR camera for the house from Costco.  You can set it up to record to a cloud and you can take realtime snapshots, set zones and sensitivity - it detects people as people, and it has two-way communication.

Just added a couple of 100-LED motion sensitive flood lights to the house too... works great when BBQing.

Next up we get our PALs and shotguns.

Im gettin' the runaround from putin...he directed me to Obama.

What program tho? The one he has doesn't even have motion capture. He can only ptz. He wants one that 'dings' when there's motion and takes a recording. Later I'll have time to search the internet but if someone can point me in the right direction.

You aren't talking to the real Putin. Vlad Vlad would never say such a thing.   That cat is badass and takes care of bidness.

I personally use the Arlo Pro's (got 4 around the house), I'm sure they'd do everything he's expecting and then some. They also have different setups to meet your needs as well as the ability to add cameras in the future. Hope this helps

Using the links nocooler posted I figured out his problem, he's got the wrong camera. He needs one that has motion onboard the camera.  Bad news is I painted the camera to match the building. He don't know any of this yet, oops. Thanks for the help!

He's using a FTD ip camera and TinyCamPro app on his phone.
Notifies and emails a photo on motion.
Exactly what he wanted.
Thanks 4 the input!
