Where is location of Bottom rubber flap
« on: October 07 2017, 03:47:32 PM »
Would anyone know how this rubber flap is fitted?
A picture of your TR having this rubber flap already installed
The attached PDF shows it as #24

Isn't that the bottom of the Grill? I tried taking one apart once to interchange some parts but no way I could get it apart without damage. Mine is a LTD but should be the same? The Springs attach to that piece then the bumper area to keep the grill pulled tight.

Yah, that doesn't look like a flap if that is what is being described.

CARs Inc (www.oldbuickparts.com) has a picture of the rubber flap.
You can see the 4 holes on the rear which will attach to the underside of your rad support with screws.....the front side (with 2 slits) attaches by 5 hole locations to the plastic plate on the rear of your grill. The factory used push pins to attach.

Hope this is making more sense now.

Kirban has a couple of pics of the rubber baffle assembly installed on a car which might help.

Thank You, It's starting to make sense
Now I have to wait until this rain passes us over so I can take the GN out of the garage and have more room outside.
