Looks like a decent turn out. I hope Ken gets it squared away. In his vid it spun.
Thanks for the pix.

Whose maroon car is that?

Maroon limited belongs to Randel Asbury. 12k mile car. He is the second owner. We kind of have the limited tent. I've counter 6 limiteds here. There may be more but that's all I've seen.
Tell Randall he's a traitor, he's supposed to be at Cecil! I hope someone soon changes their event date

Good luck Jason, that's a sweet looking car you have there. Sure seems there's a lot of Ltd's left out of the 1035  :icon_lol:

Up date for today.  Car show kept the track shut down until 2 this afternoon.  There were some damn nice cars that showed up.  I even found an RX7 with an LC2 drivetrain installed.  Took a pic just for Steve.

I met up with a friend of Brad's, Kevin. He is on the board here and I met up with Grumpy and his wife.  Didn't get to talk with Russ but he was there as well. As we say in Texas, they are good people!

As for my outing today... Well let's just start from the top.  My goal was to get a 10 second time slip with this combo.  I made some runs last year at the ford vs buick event and identified a few things and mis-diagnosed a few others. It appears that I got most of that straightened out with the help of you guys here on the board.  I appreciate you all!  I was able to make a few passes today and continued to wittle down the tune.  1st pass at BG was a 12.5 at 116. Last pass at BG was a 10.98 at 125.96. I sure wish I knew how to tune but Rome wasn't built in a day....

Good run! I'm happy for you 👍

Get it to hook and you have a mid ten.

Tuning is vastly over rated. Concentrate on low gear. The other gears are easy

Congrats! Ya' gotta stay calm...lol!!!!!!!

Steve, I was on the phone with Jason during the afternoon a few times. On the 11.4 run he left the line at 2500 and went a 2.0. I had him bump the rpm's up to 2900 and have at it. The car responded with a 1.8...but started pushing through the lites. He said the convertor flashed to 3450...which isn't enuf. My thots are the convertor may be a tad tight...the rear brakes aren't holding enuf...or the low gear tune isn't up to snuff.

To no surprise the low gear fueling in that chip is pig rich. He was pulling 2 percent low gear fuel on each run and added a couple degrees of low gear timing.

Jason, grab your laptop and find Kevin. Get Grumpy and Russ to have a look at the 10 second run. They'll help you decipher it and give you recommendation s. You're surrounded by some of the very best in the Buick world...ask questions.

I have come around to your school of thought on converters after helping William all these years.  I would say he needs at least another 600-700 rpm of flash stall.  I suspect the car will not be as rich in low with the right converter but that's my theory and may well not be fact :D

Well fella's' I made it home this evening. Definitely a fun few days. Lots of stuff to put away and get back at the grind.

Met a lot of nice and fun people.  One fella jumped in the pool at the hotel for 10 bucks. Next night there was a midget blow up doll. You can imagine the shenanigans going on.

Big thanks to Brad for calming me down in between runs, also want to thank Kevin for helping out even though I had just met him.

Steve, tune is so fat in low gear that boost doesn't build as it should. Track was very, very sticky but wasn't open for very long each day. I counted four cars that broke something in their rear diff carrier after launch.  Kevin watched my 11.1 pass from the lanes and car launches straight with a solid patch on each tire. I didn't spin on any of the 7 passes I made.   I'm going to have a look at the master cylinder to see if it's bleeding down after applying pressure.

I had lots of folks telling me what to change in the tune but no one to explain where to do it on the SD2. Studying the logs and looking at little bubbles then applying changes where I thought it would make a difference worked for the most part but I took baby steps with the adjustments. I could've leaned the high gear a bit more but felt it was safe where it was at and concentrated on the low gear. Anyway, I am pleased with the progress that was made this weekend. Car has little more in it.  Boost on the best pass was 23-24 with the creep from the internal gate. Get that short time figure out and it may be a 10.5 car with this current boost level. I may head to little River and work on launching once I look at the brakes and tune some more.

One more thing... Kevin called my car a little rocket. I like it
