Uncle Sam kills small businesses
« on: June 07 2006, 04:26:38 PM »
It seems to me that if our retarded government would ease up on taxing small business they would be more likely to succeed in the long-term which would then create more revenue. I just got a call from the tax man telling me that the IRS feels that it's time I cut them ANOTHER check for a few grand. This is rediculous.... .tonight I get to sit the wife down and talk to her about selling off our agency. I mean, am I the only person who seems to think that more businesses being able to keep their head above water in the early years would be a good thing? The IRS just chokes the life out of any Mom N' Pop venture before it can get on it's feet, thereby costing themselves future money. Maybe I'm wrong, I dunno. I, for one, prefer a family-owned corner store that's been around for 3 generations to the WalMart-like giants that trample all in their path.

Sorry to hear that.......I hate Walmart.....I live in a "small" town, well, smaller than Chicago....but I like the little mom and pop places over the Wal-marts.....I try to avoid that place.......a lot of the stores around here are mom and pops....

Naturally. I just don't see why small business gets the shit kicked out of it. Isn't that kind of supposed to be what America is all about? It's moments like this that I actually feel a sense of bloodlust for all the queefsnorts in this country living off of welfare and probably not knowing but certainly not caring about the productive people who's families pay for *their* uselessness.

...and that plight is worse in Kalifornia to the point that even BIG businesses are moving out to places like Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.

What is it gonna take for the honest, decent people in this country to become the squeaky wheel?

You forgot Mexico, Pakistan, and India etc...

Unfortunately that sounds about right for a quarterly payment. There are ways to
take deductions for everyday stuff that will drop your tax liability. Employee benefits
such as health insurance etc.. You could throw a few sales pitches in Vegas, and
write off your trip under the buisness. You simply have to justify it.
Look up Cohens law for more info.

UGH. I dont know what to say. But I can say, "dont give up!". Tough it out man...you'll be ok. Check into what RR was talking about. One thing about owning a business is finding the legas tax breaks. Mathew Lesko comes to mind. Maybe a $30 investment in his book would help? I read through one a couple years ago...I had one of these kinda faces --> ~ (thats my mouth). Maybe talk to other business owners and find out about the stuff they right off every year. Small businesses are always doing anything they can to legally have write-offs.

Is there a BB that small business owners use? Maybe join and learn?
Save the bumper fillers!

How can you do any math without any numbers?

Robert, I've got one of those high dollar tax men who, I guess, has found all the holes there are.
