Always wanted a Vega stumbled on to this and could not say no....
should be quick about 1000 lb lighter than the Buick lol
I had started getting a new frame and shell together for the Buick looks like that will collect dust this should be fun.

Nice score! Many years ago there was a wagon with a large motor stuffed in it (most of it anyways) that I'd see at the track now & again. It sure looked like it got the heart rate up!

That's awesome! Friend has a Monza with a small block stuffed into it. It smokes lots of tires. I bet yours will to. Keep the pics coming!

Love me some Vega. Our family had a 71 camback wagon when I was little. Bright orange and a four speed.
Looking forward to the progress pix.

There was one at Mecum in Harrisburg last year. I dug up the picture I took but it is blurry. I have an underhood pic tho. Beautiful car.

Nice project sleeper car !!  Was a cool car new. Buddys lasted till around 12k .. Had "electronic" issues the dealer couldn't fix after a million times back there  :O .. When it ran it was a fun car. Buddy put a hot air motor in it but never finished it. Told him he was wasting time with a hot air set up anyway. He just sold it a few years ago. 12k car that rotted into the ground  :( He now has a Vega wagon with a small block Chebby in it.
Good luck with the new engine. Should be wild !!! My Buick Mazda RX7 is a blast!!
