Rolled the car off the trailer and got it ready. Pulled out the lawn chair and watched...and there were no cars there worth racing. High 11's...and that was it. May sound egotistical... but I'm not wasting my time on cars I know I can beat. Kevin rolled in with his absolutely gorgeous big block pro charged Mopar. The starter showed us a ton of respect...as he held the other lines up for us to square off. I bumped the low gear timing up in the staging lanes hoping to get through 1st and 2nd as quick as possible. After a John Force burnout...and let's be honest...the people in the stands wanna see a show...not fukn Hondas. I staged it up quick and got on the gas. Kevin staged up and the starter dropped the lights instantly. I squeezed the tree hard and slightly red lighted with a .471 against Kevins .990. I held him off for what seemed like an eternity...but he went by me before the 1/8th. The difference in MPH? My 97 against his 110. Damned near ripped the paint off my car going by me...lol! Kevin is a quality individual...a nd very humble...and it was an honour to race him. Pic is Kevins car from an Armdrop awhile back.
