rear suspension, maybe some cargo coils
« on: February 05 2016, 08:12:22 PM »
My car is kind of turning into a tail dragger. I don't really care other than when I haul people in the back seat the rear tires are rubbing. Years ago one of my friends put some of these moog cargo coils on his silver T. He seemed to like them. He has since passed away so I can't ask him about them .

I found these at summit for like $65 for the pair.
Moog Chassis Parts CC627 - Moog Cargo Control Coil Springs

Anyone tried these? Have another part you did try. I'm a fairly large fellow and my people aren't exactly small either. I like to haul sticky tires and jack to the track so I'm sure all of this has put a beating on the original springs.

Thanks for your input.

That is quite abit of research in that second link. I do notice two different spring rates for the cc627 in the first link. I'll have to peruse them more closely. I can see there are many choices.
I do have(or at least think I do) the original springs my friend took out of his silver T. He was going to throw them out. I'm a pack rat, I just have to figure out if I still have them. Might try em to see if it brings the car up some.

Option 2 is throw in 2 air bags & fill to get desired height. Each side has it's own filler valve so good for the track too. Installed mine about 90-91 & still working great!

Hey Rich, I have those shocks that have the helper springs that I pulled off GG. You're welcome to them if you like
