Sounds like you're going to be in the streets. You could always move down here to Texas. We've always got some place to run. Heck, bring Brad with you after he retires.  Texas is one of those states that doesn't have income taxes. They make it up with a sales tax. Plus it's a great place to retire

Larry...this is a good deal...cuz it's 1/8th mile. You'll be a better racer...and you'll lower your ET. 1/8th mile forces you to be quick on the tree...forces you to get your car to launch decently...and forces you to dial in your low gear fueling/timing...and your alky turn on point. Being forced to run Sportsman class...which is 1/8th mile at SMP...is what taught me how to tune and be a better racer.

If "airport manager Mark Fortune" was into high HP he would have done whatever it took to make room and make it work. I think he's just lazy by not using his position and putting in the time to make this happen on his property.

That being said, congrats! The streets, under full consideration of safty, will absolutely make it more fun. In the heart of the city too? That's awsome!
Save the bumper fillers!

The street racing idea is awesome! :smokin:   I've always said they should do that here.

Yeah it should be interesting. Safety is always a big concern and I don't know what they plan to do for pits.
1 of my favorite parts of the weekend is the camping in the pits hanging out with all the like minded people scoping out all the other cars, helping each other out if someone breaks I guess parts are closer....

I hope we don't end up racing the road instead of the cars. I'm sure some guys will have to detune just to get a clean pass I pity the nitrous guys.

So they did a couple test hit last night shut the street down. Kerry said the bottle fed S10 hooked pretty well little loose leaving but what do you expect for no prep. So we are a step closer to our version of Street Outlaws!

At least they seem to know where their bread is buttered if they want to keep events that bring in tourism.

Exactly Jim. You see how wildly popular the Armdrop events are in Picton...and it gives the kids with the tuner cars somewhere to go...instead of racing on the street. How Toronto can't figure it out is beyond me. Prolly makes too much sense...
