Current GN prices
« on: December 18 2015, 05:22:30 AM »
Have the GNs doubled in price over the last 15 years? Ones for sale locally for 22k, low miles, stock rebuilt motor. 22k!?!?! Wow!

Asking and selling prices are sometimes very different. I know there are several over $20k cars that sit on Craigslist and get relisted so they aren't getting the asking price.

I agree with Rich.  There's been this same GN on CL for over 6 months here in Texas.  Dude is asking like 25K for a car that may be worth half that.  Guess it will just keep detoriating in his pasture...

I've been asking $17K CDN for my bucket for about a year... very little interest.  It is worth more in parts than some of the lowball offers made.

I was going to say something like "but what are they selling for", I assumed everyone knew there's a difference  I learned that ideology from Pawn Stars lol. Rick usta always say, "but what are they selling for"

There does look to be a push to value our cars at 20k. That's great! But I'm never selling mine.

I'm just still amazed how many clean unmolested low mile tb's are still out there almost 30 years later

A lot of people bought them and stashed em. Sad they didn't get the enjoyment of driving it .

Hey Mike,
Can you sell off most of the aftermarket / performance parts?

If you can put the car back to stock (or closer to stock) , I think you'll still get $17K all day long and you'll pocket a bunch of extra CA$H in your pocket.

It'd be a real deal for someone south of the border as the US buck is worth $1.41 Cdn with todays exchange rate.
That $17k CDN = $12,197.83 USD with todays exchange rate.

Now that's a real deal for some sharp shopper south of the border!

I sold "The Most Optioned GN" two years ago for the asking price of $25,000.
Tons of paperwork went with that car. Due to the fact of it's rarity, I thought that was wwhat it was worth.

BTW, I sold that car in one (1) day !!!

I probably have the least optioned limited... Original sticker, build sheet and RPO sticker in the trunk. Wonder what someone would be willing to pay for that???

prices  have increased some, but not 20k some!
I have sold my GNX, a 12k mi GN, my 8 sec race car, and my LS motored  regal,
all in the last 2 yrs,  and prices are close to 5 yrs ago, up maybe 10%.
but, modified car ( tastefully, and cleanly done) command  more than 100% orig cars do,
GNX exception,
just like the tri five chevys,    who wants 50+ yr old technology? and perf?
gimme a/c, pwr everything, and good brakes,
park that orig, and  tell everyone how great it is, when you never drive it!
