Why do Turbine's inject water into the turbine section and not the compressor section for more power?
My brother works on turbines for a living and he said water is injected to lower the temp and thereby lowering the emissions. Lower temp equals less NOx.
Totally aware of that but I have thermal books that say they also use it to increase power, which I thought was weird, compressor side yes but I can't see it on the turbine side. Very well could be a mistake I have to dig it up again.
