are you asking how fast a hot air car has gone or are you asking how fast a car has gone with a hot air block? I would have no issue running a hot air block they are the same minus the oil drain for the turbo

There are some other minor differences around the oil drainback holes and such...but, far as I know, the casting is similar.

The casting is similar.

Which we had smart phones 20 years ago. I would have had pictures of this stuff. I'm thinking the webbing in the valley wasn't the same.

For a mid 11 second car or a back up engine, why not  :powersix:

you can take a hot air block just as fast as a 109 block.
deck height is different. but only a matter of thousanths.
as mentioned above, the valley webbing is viisably  differant. the hot ai/na blocks have a more "porous" valley casting, while the 109s are a  more definetive cast.
I have not ever seen any proof of the pre-109s being weaker than the 109s.
When I'm in Rome, they do as I do

Looks like it is out of an '84 non turbo car.  I would take some sanding rolls and get rid of any casting flash to try to remove any potential stress cracks and give it a shot

The gentlemen i got this from was given a 87 G/N and this motor, it's set up with a cam sensor oil feed block on the side the same thing just like a 87 motor.
