Apple Trees
« on: May 08 2006, 12:45:00 AM »
Every year about this time, I take my mom for a ride to see the apple trees blossom.
I took some pics for anyone who hasn't seen this before. There are several
orchards around where I live.

I gotta big ole bush of 'em next to my shed. They haven't quite come out yet.
They're the purple ones(state flower) When I was a kid, my mom kicked my ass
for practicing my Nun Chuck skills on them, because my buddy Carl and I nearly defoliated them.

I wasn't aware that they were the NH state flower. I've always dug them. I've got 6 or 7 of them around the house and they're all in bloom right now.....they remind me of bein' a kid back when my mom would always have them in vases around the house.

When I was a little kid, my father's girlfriend was allergic to them, so I'd put them
in all the windows of his house.

Sweet....I love stories like that. Here's another: a while back, a friend of mine who can't have dairy ordered a tuna sub and after the order was placed, I called back and told them 'I' forgot to ask for cheese.

Nice! All the ones I have around my house have already bloomed and gone. Oh well, there's always the yucca to look forward to.

Did you feel the difference with getting the 16s? When I put mine on it was like night to day difference in how the GN felt.
