PM to Vacuum How to???

Hello everybody... Rich here from Detroit area... My Power Master brakes took a shit and i want to convert them to a vacuum set up... Any how too's?? or threads on how to??
parts list??
and i did do a search only found hydro threads set ups... thanks for your time.

Check out the tech section on gnttype.com. you will need either the pedal off a g body with vacuum brakes or, drill a hole in your existing pedal for the correct push rod mounting position. I posted a link on here once showing how to do that.

If you have a good junkyard to loot through, you can find a pedal and then visit your local parts store and get the rest.  There is a junk yard donor thread on the big board.  List is something like 34 pages.

86 white T type with t tops and blackout trim. 60lb injectors Gen 2 with Extender Chip TR6 ignition 212/206 roller cam Turbonetics BB CPT 61 CAS V4 Intercooler Cobbled together Alky Injection 4 inch MAF pipe with integral sensor
2800 stall lots of fun with a little 6 banger!

I thought that the pedal bracket could stay put?  Just the pedal itself had to get switched, and the booster of course.

It's the one of the 4 that held my old booster on mine was converted when I bought it I recently swapped diaphragms

I'd redrilled my pedal based on some instructions I'd seen somewhere and It never felt really right. I musta had the hole just slight off.   felt like a tiny bit of binding at the start and then it would feel proper once you were partially into pushing it down.  drove me nuts I ended up just getting a vacuum pedal.  So something to consider if you want to reuse your old pedal.

I've done two of these powermaster to vacuum brake conversions.  Pedal bracket can stay.  You can drill a new hole on the existing pedal or you can get a pedal from a vacuum brake g body.  Don't need the vacuum block with the vacuum brake port if you have removed the EVAP canister, just connect vacuum line to the hard line that you capped after removing the EVAP canister. 


Rich has the rights on the hydro boost conversion

I actually got a shipment of crap today that I HOPE is the last thing I need to make a DIY conversion kit....
