Phil...is that the original cam in that engine? I've heard that sound before...drove Dan and I nuts finding it. The cam button spring had broken. Steve...did the original cams have a plastic button on the nose of the cam? If so...it mite have gone south.

stock cam does have a plastic button on the end of the spring.
on the video there's one good throttle blip that sounds like everything got quiet.

All stock internals besides valve springs and timing chain. I believe the sound quiets down with a little rev. Now for the rookie request of the day...anyone care to elaborate on the flex plate?

Found one leak, fixed it, then found another leak at the top of the S hose going from the water pump to the heater line. I replaced the S hose, and then found the source of that "knocking" that I heard. The damn problem was right in front of me!! Right as I noticed that the damn car was still leaking, I noticed the pulley on the water pump was going nuts!! The water pump is shot though, and that's were that leak is coming from.

Check your pulley alignment before you bolt it up I had to press the pulley flange down on mine almost an 1/8 of an inch ate belts and squeaked at start up.

Thanks for the help!! Anything else I should check? Do I need a new pulley or am I ok? The pulley is loose for sure because I was able to move it by hand

Are the fasteners tight? I have seen pulleys cracked like the flex plate does between the bolt holes. Though I wouldn't think that it is common.
I got a water pump for about $15 and the guy behind me in line at the part house couldn't believe it was so cheap. Pick one up and some sealant for the long bolts, make sure it comes with a gasket.
I like this stuff.
Broken flex plate.
Not exactly from bolt hole to bolt hole but it made a lot of noise.
