Valve spring swap. Also wrapped the downpipe and coverd the turbine housing with a Thermal zero cover. Completely impressed with the turbine cover.  Can set your palm on the cover after a test drive

Lotsa work!  Looks good.

In theory, one would like the down pipe to throw off heat as fast as it can for best turbo performance.  In practice, I guess it depends on how much under hood warming is considered a problem.

I pulled the heat shield from the side of the HVAC and didn't put it back on during the engine swap. Sure does make getting the passenger side valve cover on and off a lot easier. Anyways, that's why I wrapped the down pipe.

I think I should do that on mine...that damn shield makes it hard to get to the rear plug and the valve cover.  That's and outstanding reason to do it.

Got some cool guy stuff to put on the Limited. Main reason for going this route was for clearance on the passenger side header.  UMI sure does have some make some quality parts.  Bonus was loosing almost 8 pounds per side. On a side note, probably the toughest coil spring install I've done with their spring pockets. Even with the spring compressor tool.

Yes sir.  Spring pockets are pretty deep. I was having trouble getting the spring compressed enough without the threads of the tool hitting the top of the shock mount and then the bottom of the tool hitting the lip of the pocket.

Yeah, I had a bear of a time getting the springs into the wagon.  Used the compressor and weight of the car (wish it had an engine) to bring it all together.

Finally found and ordered seat covers for the pillow back seats. Pulled the back seats today and found a little surprise. Why was I surprised you ask? Because I already found a build sheet in one of the doors. Didn't realize they put a couple of them in there. This one is in way better shape. By the way, I found out who the manufacturer of the seat covers are and ordered them at about a $260 savings from our beloved vendors.

Jason...what's the one to the right of PWR/DRIVER. I can't quite read it. Saved the pic and blew it up. Looks like it might be PWRPASS. Both seats are manual in your car.
