That is the right attitude!  Nothing like being able to stop in a short distance coming down from 140 mph...unless you are in a helicopter and then you might wanta get the speedometer checked!

Dropped the pan on the tranny.  Pulled the governor and swapped in a new blue spring I got from summit and my "middle" light weight on the governor. Back together and tranny is shifting between 5500 and 5700 now. Thank you baby Jesus!  Now onto some "serious" tuning!

Got a bracket from Brad Lay at boostcrew motor sports to facilitate mounting of the individual coils. Just an experimental piece and had to make some adjustments to clear the stock fuel rail.

That is a nice piece. Musing:How much taller are the coils turned 90 deg? If the bolts were horizontal they would be individually accessible.

The bolt is 4 3/4 inch long and is flush on the bottom of the mounting plate that is tapped for the bolt. No clearance issues with the stock fuel rail or the rear coil bracket.  Tried mounting them on a stock bracket with them stacked in pairs facing forward kind of like the original coil pack but the coils still need to be raised so the plug wires clear the back of the upper plenum.  RJC has a bracket that has the coils mounted side by side facing to the outside.  It looked to have difficult access to the back of the coils. With this mount, I can loosen two bolts and have access to 3 coils in just under a minute.
