Fuel pressure

Turn the key on fuel pressure goes to 40 psi but as soon as the pump stops the pressure goes down to 30 then slowly bleeds down. Fairly new pump, regulator and gauge, I seem to remember on a freinds car that his does not drop

85 GN -- Converted to 87 set-up using 66/72 turbo, front mount I/C, 80lb injectors,gn1 heads 14 bolt 1.65 roller rockers stud mount, ported intake with plate, fuel hot wire, 3" dp, running 24psi., alky kit, stroker 20 over, 212/206 roller,  best time 10.995 @ 121 1.56 60ft

can be a sorry check valve in the pump, leaky injector, or a bad diaphragm in the regulator...No rmally it drops more slowly than that

did you figure out if the puck was not covering the hole?
