How many miles do you guys that actually drive your cars get out of these? Obviously the more you track the car the less you get. If I have a few track weekends a year will I get 10, 000 miles out of a set?
87 GN, K&N cold air, gutted cat, TT 5.7 chip, AFPR, 340 Walbro w/ hotwire, 60 LBS injectors, 981 valve springs, 206/206 Cam, RJC Powerplate, LS1 MAF & translator, Vacuum brakes, Hellwig rear sway bar, Energy suspension poly bushings, Razors Alky, Pypes exhaust, 5931 turbo, CK9.5 converter

tread depth is not too deep so I would not think so.  Maybe 3-5K?  I never kept track

Mine seem good so far  got them this spring. Should get another season out of them I only go to the track a couple times a year. My last set of Mickey Thompsons only lasted 1 season.

how much boost can you launch at the track with them?

I've had my Nittos on the car for almost 10 years.  I probably have about 10 000 miles on them. And they are still in great shape, but I don't use them at the track just street.  By far the best long lasting drag radial out there.  I was tired of going through a set of BFG drag radials every year.  They aren't the best radial for the track but they are pretty decent.

The 555's, they didn't have the NT05Rs back then.  Totally forgot about the newer versions.  But I still think the 555's are the best street drag radial!

the mickey thompsons wins hands down for the track, but is you spend more time on the street and there is a chance you could get caught in the rain Nittos are the way to go.
My plan is to get a set of slicks or MT pros just for the track and save the Nittos for stop light to stop light races  :P

29x9 any issues running a tire that tall?

On my car with the 3" ATR exhaust...they'll hit on the tail pipes. The 28x9's barely clear. Larry...it really depends on where your tail pipes sit.

I'd do what Larry said...grab your choice of DR's for the street. For the track get a pair of used GN rims...or something with the same bolt pattern with a 4" backspace. Sniff out a pair of used 28x9 slicks. They'll stick no matter what the trap prep is like. To quote Larry. "Spinnin' ain't winnin'.
