I was able to drill out the holes in the wheels to fit the 5/8 studs. The hardest part was finding the correct 5/8-18 lug with the 60* taper and open end. These ended up being for a trailer or some shit, but they work.
The plan is new Nitto drag radials on the stock wheels, and some new performance all seasons for the front.

Tested out a few sensors today - the flex fuel sensor was fighting me but I figured it out.

Today I installed a pressure transducer in the transmission cooler line. I figured the price of a transducer is cheaper than wiping the thrust bearing out of the engine.

Fingers crossed it's within what is considered normal and not excessive. I really don't want to have to spend more money putting a regulator on the circuit.

In hobbies in general, and cars specifically, the pit always seems to continue to deepen

I think I made some boys happy today. It's an 07 Manco Critter with a 6.5hp Tecumseh on it. It'll be a good project for them to help me with, as it needs a little attention.

LOL, it would make me happy!  I have been looking for a Kart with coil overs on each wheel and big enough for me to ride as well.  but so far every thing that I found that would fit the bill and me is 180 miles away or it is priced way out of my range and still that far, or more, away.

Next you will be putting a Predator 212 on it, rack and pinion steering and so on!  I'm happy for those boys!  They look really happy :)

I've already been looking at Predator 212 stuff. I think the tired Tecumseh will be plenty for them to start out with.

It's amazing what power can be pulled out of the various Predators and the carbs are usually pretty good on them. Tillotson is even better from a quality standpoint, I think, but they cost more.

But, as you say, you want something safe, slow and controllable.  No need having someone head on into a tree or something even worse!
