Shifter, cooler, trans overflow (don't know if I'm even going to mess with it), fluid, and a few wires. Pedal swap too.
Then some sort of exhaust
Fuel rails and finish out the fuel system
Gears
Then install the holley in there some where.

I helped my uncle out this morning. He was having issues connecting to his MSD 7530T box. Turns out the serial cable wasn't fully seated in the box, that was buried under the dash. He thought it would allow for some base timing control coming from a MSD LS box. I'm thinking we can get around it by setting base at the most he'd run and then just set the step retards it 2* or so. It's got 3 retards, and a toggle switch an a +12v would be simple to wire.
Oh yeah it's a 4th gen camaro, 29.5x10.5, 7.50 cert, ladder bar, probably 2800lbs or so, sb2.2 (15:1), glide. The chassis is overkill for the engine. It made 800 flywheel hp, runs on vp x16, ran 9.2@144 with 1.2 60ft.

Remind me again why someone tears apart a well sorted combo?
The real kick in the nuts is the transmission over flow setup isn't going to work without swapping some fittings and the trans has to come back down to do that.

Shifter is mounted in the car. Need to adjust the cable and hook up the p/n and reverse switches. I'm already not sure if I like this pro-ratchet shifter....but it's what I have so I'm going rock it for now.

Probably works better at the track than a column shift car.  Keep doing it because you’re all I got to watch with all these hours I’m having to work

Shifter is adjusted, it looks like the trans has a clean neutral as I've got one more click on the transmission lever when the shifter is in 3rd (RMVB). More to come on that.
The trans cooler fits 2 places, under the passenger floor and where the muffler would sit. I started on the downpipe, the wastegate location makes it a complete pain. I've got a few piece the I should start tacking before I go much further.

Looking at the instructions I was able to figure out my issue.
The cable tab can bolt inside and outside of the front of the shifter. If it’s inside it can’t fully shift to park. I moved it to the outside and readjusted everything and it’s good.

This kid will be 40 this year!
I should have known to download/print the instructions first, I just winged it, until it didn't work right.


I'm thinking a 1/4npt to 1/8npt bushing to replace the return in the pan for the dump valve and then a temp probe in the bushing in the pan. I don't think I'll need the dump valve to help with spooling this baby turbo, later down the road it might be handy.


As soon as I get things tested I'm going to see if I can trade off this ratchet shifter for a gated one. Some people think they are awesome, and so far I'm not digging it.

After fighting with my Dad’s Hobart 140 for two days I gave up and busted out old reliable and got to work. I’m so over spending money so the downpipe was my over the axle pipe that’s been on the car for quite a few years. I cleaned it up a little and stopped caring about how it looks and just got it done. I’m sure if the stainless was 100% clean and I was using the right gas/wire the results would be better. But it’s going to be wrapped and pretty much out of sight.
Next week I’ll decide how I want to finish it out from the frame thru the fender. I’ve got a couple ideas I just want to make sure before I cut a hole in the bumper cover.
