With all that suspension cycling you did, talking with suspension guys, measuring and remeasuring, researching and not feeling comfortable with it in the first place.... case closed. Measure for a new drive shaft. Compare that with the current shaft you have, order a new shaft and then feel safe about driving the car

I think the entire country is suffering from something.  The flu has not died out around here yet, a stomach bug is going around, and everyone is suffering from allergies.

Man I feel for you guys... I firmly believe that school teachers build up tolerances early in their careers. Of course, my wife now just spreads it’s to me and the kids and never gets sick herself

While I haven’t been felt good enough to crawl under the car - jegs sent me a $100 off $1k and I might have a package coming from Holley. A 650 double pumper with manual choke carburetor better not be in the box!

I’m jealous! That Holley software is really nice!

I’m fully prepared to chase my ass around.
The stock ecu is great and I’ve done well with it. Hp tuners is really good software, I’m just sick of their licensing. Now I need to upgrade my USB adapter to their new Bluetooth adapter. By the time I added the cost of new adapter, licensing, and a used gm p59 - it was only $200-300 more for the Holley. Made the decision pretty easy.
I’m trying to decide how far I want to go into the wiring. I may try to keep the stock pcm for some things. Unfortunately it does drive the cluster. The plan is to see If i can get the gas gauge, speedo working and continue to use the stock pcm for cooling fan control while the Holley does the rest. If not race car.

Does the Holley use the tuner studio setup or is it a whole 'nother software deal? Did it come with all the senesors/senders? Or are they "extra"?
We are doing this supercharged 3800 swap and I was looking to go with the hptuners but this looks like a viable thing to consider. Though it is my son's project and bankroll so I am just the tool/ space provider in the equation.
Good stuff. Lots to learn on my end.

Dan - should go easy mid 11s all day

Rich - Holley has their own software, but it’s similar to tuner studio. Right now this ecu is sold as ls only, but it appears to have support coming for other platforms. Hptuners is probably still your best bet for the swap. Depending on how many mods your planning on it might be easier to have someone disable vats and apply a basic tune - should be able to find someone to do it for a reasonable price.

I see your concerns. Does Holley have blue tooth? If so, maybe consider a tablet that can run RealDash.

The 3.5" screen is the "dash" with the holley. I'm sure I could run a tablet with holley's software. But the screen handles about everything and can display just about anything you want. Once i get playing with it I'll know more. I'm trying to save as much i/o on the holley for fun stuff, i'm sure I could burn an input for the fuel level and display it on the screen - but that's probably not the best use of an input.
I'm going to start printing wiring diagrams and see what I can come up with. I know the stock pcm does a lot of bs stuff and it might be worth retaining to for those bs things.
