Talked to Lane @ PTC this morning - he thinks it's going to be to loose, and wants to put a 15 or 16 blade in it.

Pack it up and fire it off.

I wish I had not posted that. No matter how carefully worded, I never fail to side track someone's thread.
Yes, I have been to Drag Week events 2 of the last 3 yrs. I was at the US Nationals last yr. In all possible weeks of '018, I had 3 free weekends away from local tracks. I go for free. Not sure what that proves.
I apologize for the hijack. I am out.

I'm not sure how the op feels, but if you need a place to post look for my threads
No way to side track mine.

And I do like the torque converter talk. Great to unravel the mystery.

Converter went out today!

If that is a custom built converter (read expensive), my advice would be to touch base with the supplier.

One of the guy's I help lost a diode in a custom that had a previous free re-stall. It was repaired for the shipping and the cost of just the part. It had just under 500 1/8 passes and 3 yrs on it.
It doesn't hurt to try.

Talked to Lane @ptc today, everything looked good - they are swapping the stator and shipping it back.

Converter is back, now if the kids go back to school I might be able to get something done.

Dunno, how many times have I sent the kids off for a wrench/hammer/tool describing exactly where it is -just to have them come back empty handed.

My oldest would either complain, or tell me what I’m doing wrong, my youngest would be happy to just play with the tools.

Brad are you driving that thing to the track then?

Flex plate is in, I needed fluid to go much further. I grabbed 2 gallons of trans fluid on the way home. Tonight is supposed to be freezing rain, so I might not get back to it tomorrow. The fun part is jacking the car high enough to get the trans and trans jack under it.
