I’ve been busy working on the car. I’ll have some updates this weekend

I will say I broke the nipple off the damn map sensor for the boast controller, I need to see if I can replace the map or I can just run it open loop based using duty cycle.
Plastic?

Use a magnifying glass haha. I would think the problem would be the plastic chips from threading but some trans gel or vaseline on the tap to collect the chips. And a threaded barb, I'm sure someone makes a plastic one or brass. Just have to find the tap that fits the threads. What is it like 3/16" or something? Even an eighth or sixteenth. Might not be worth the hassle of collecting up the tap and threaded barb.

Or a new unit, there's always that.

Something like this.

I bought a three bar like this.

There are more expensive ones too.
Cuz I'm a cheap a$$ and like to have new tools.

That’s what it looks like Rich it’s about 3/8” square total.

Hole is .110 id - I might have a tap but I think it’s cheaper to replace it.

Made a trip to Ohio today, traded my 6speed setup for a legit th400 setup.
The deal included well built th400 (billet internals, rvmb, brake, aftermarket bell housing, nice aluminum deep pan), ptc 9.5 converter, sfi flex plate, b&m pro ratchet shifter, dump valve (aids spooling), umi cross member, dual cooler setup with a fan, driveshaft, and a leash bumpbox.

The setup came out of a 1000rwhp 4th gen camaro - stock bottom end deal. I’m going to try the converter and see how it works, but it might need to go back for a restall.

I need to decide on rear gears think 3.50 maybe a 3.25.

Thanks wmsonta - already been playing with numbers.

3.50 puts me where I want to be rpm/mph wise thru the traps - 3.25 would be better on the street.

3.50  - 3.25
Do not forget stall with a non L/U converter. If the converter supplier won't make a recommendation, you will have to guess. I guess 7% for 5500 stall or higher, for example. IMO, the difference in one ratio (3.25-3.5) is hundreds of a sec in a quarter, unless the car needs 60 ft help. Converters are not an exact science. I have known people who have bought 4 or 5 to get right. Expensive education.
Agai n, my opinions.
Expensive appearing transmission.

Jeremy...call Dusty. He'll take all the guess work out of it for you for stall and rear gears. I cut my teeth with this guy about convertors on the other board when he was posting. Learned from him how to get a 'tight' convertor to 'flash' higher off the line and how a 'tighter' convertor will MPH better.

Here he is setting a world record...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brR4BwzujhI

Oh...and break out your reading glasses and get the numbers off the convertor for him. I might be able to break it down here.

I’ll look at it again Monday, it’s a 20 blade stator. I was planning on calling ptc, Brad can you pm me Dusty’s number. My gut says run it, get data and restall as needed.
