^-that pretty much sums it up.

I'm still waiting on dirt. Load restrictions come off the roads today - but the guy doing the work took another job tiling fields and won't be done for another 2 weeks or so. I'm just about done with this guy - but I don't think I'd get anyone else here any faster.

Here is next week's project. I have a 10-yard dumpster coming Tuesday. All the bricks need to be pulled so they can pour us a new patio when they pour the barn floor and approach.
The kids were really excited when I told them I had a spring break project

Still waiting on dirt....
I was going to have one of the excavators open a trench for gas/electricity, but since none of them have been calling me back I started digging it myself. 180ish ft, I have 2 weeks before the electrician is going to start. Today I got about 1/3 of it opened up, it'll still need to be deeper but busting the sod/roots is the hard part. Probably not what I should be doing, but screw it - I'm tired of assholes holding me up. It'll save some green too, and the boys need to learn how to properly use a shovel! I've been trying to teach them if they work hard enough at anything they can do it, but then they bring up that they want to be "YouTubers" when they grow up. Oh to be 9 and 6 again!!

I ended up filling 30 some feet back in and changing course as the roots were just too thick. I probably got another 50ft opened up Once it's all open I'll deal with the roots and then start digging deeper. As far as how deep it depends on how far apart the gas and electric need to be. Waiting for a call back - I've heard the same trench with anywhere from 6"-24" of soil separating them is fine.

It's fully opened up, just need to dig it to depth.
Put in an order for some direct burial 6 cat network cable and termination stuff, since the trench is open might as well do it.
It used to be pretty common here to just pound a pipe into the ground for a well vs actually drilling. We are talking 40-60ft wells thought. Pretty sandy up here.

The wife and I finished the trench today.
The electrician comes Monday to start!
Finally found an excavator that returns calls, so I have him booked to bring dirt and fix the grade. We need 40-50yards in the building and over 200 yards outside - yeah you could say the previous guy missed the grade by a little.
I don't know what hurts worse my body from digging the trench or my ass from the $$$ I have to spend to fix someone else's fuck up.
