Dave, I think the best you'll see an 8 foot 2x4 come down to will prolly be about 6 bucks. I don't think they even sell econo grade anymore. Not sure how much more expensive pressure treated is. The fence from the shop to the house we used deck planking...cuz there was no fence board available. We won't discuss price...

2x4x8 are $6.04 and 2x4x10 are $7.64 right now at HD. Looks like the supply chain is starting to stabilize.
The temporary fence is up, the dogs are pissed I took half of their yard away. I disassembled the chain-link fence and pulled all the posts I could by hand. I've got 3 fence posts that are cemented in, but I took the time to dig around them down far enough that they'll be easy to hook a chain to and pull.
Hopefully next week I'll have some dirt.

Hows OSB pricing? A friend is building a shop and last year 7/16 4x8 sheets were $6, now he paid $23 a sheet!

I'll be in HD tomorrow morning for some more concrete. I'll check on press board and plywood sheets.

4x8 sheet 3/8 CHEAPEST they had was 25 bucks for plywood/chip board. The good stuff...was astronomical.

That stuff should normalize once the hurricane season is over.
Since my dog is an asshole - I ended up spending the day replacing the plastic temporary fence with welded wire.

The dirt work and fill came in well under the estimate too. I'll need some more fill after the building is up but it'll only be a couple of loads.
