I think E85 is considered un Amurican out here in oil country.  Nearest race fuel is 90 miles away if they still sell it.  I'm with you on alky kits but I don't see a choice.  Price by the barrel appears to be ridiculous for anything.  I think I am screwed.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

You're between a rock and a hard place. I'd be replacing the alky pump once a year...and solder every effen connection.

My car rarely goes into boost on the street...belie ve it or not...so Erics street chip is all I need. I cruise the car...and that's it. When I'm at the track...all hell breaks loose. On a race day I park up at the 1/4 mile marker by myself and talk very little to anyone. I don't like being distracted. The Armdrop events are fun and relaxing. On a race day...leave me alone. I'm Jekyll and Hyde.

For sure, everything is soldered.

Most good racers I know have at least two personalities

I’ve been working on my arduino powered ethanol content gauge. By far the worst part has been getting the lcd to display. The display I bought requires 7 wires for connecting then 3 for the backlight. Got it all soldered up and was testing and I forgot to heatshrink a resistor, and of course it’s connected to 5v with a ground next to it. I moved the wires while testing and it all went dead.

I’ve got another arduino and 2 different displays coming to play with. These are both analog displays and only require 4 wires. Should save some time.

Brad
Arduino is a microcontrolle r. It's fully programmable with analog and digital inputs/outputs. So if you can wire it and program it, you can do damn near anything with one. There is one project doing batchfire/waste spark on a 4 cylinder car. All out of a $10 board.

Basically mine is going to read the gm flex fuel content sensor, send the values to a display (like a gauge), and possibly convert the signal (hz to volts) and spit out a 0-5v to my logger.

The 128x32 OLED displays are sexy, just a couple of bucks on Aliexp and there are a few libraries around...
