Maybe the control unit they buried in my right ass cheek counts as a Brazilian but lift, but my wife tells me my ass is still flat.

Since I致e had some downtime I致e done some more research on using a flex fuel enabled tune on a stock pcm. And my findings are similar with my friends - while possible, right now I知 just going to sit buy and watch. I could gamble and license the sloppy mechanics p01 flexfuel tune and flash it to my pcm, but there are enough minor issues that it become a major pain in the ass. From what we can find it takes at least 3 software packages to flex fuel enable my pcm without these issues. There is one tuner that has figured out how to do it in a hex editor, but he値l only do it if he tunes your car - which is understandable .

So for now, I知 going to put together a Arduino powered ethanol content measuring system. Looks like for under $40, I can get the info from the flex fuel sensor and display and/or send it to the logger. The idea will be base tune, then setup a tune for various content levels, like every 5%. All the files will be the same execept for the stoich afr. It値l be a fill it up, drive, and if it varies 5% reflash. It値l be a pain, but worth it to run E.

I知 99% sure my boost controller is Arduino powered as well. So if I get bored I might be able to combine the units and add other inputs. That could open up some interesting stuff.

On the other hand my back feels like someone drove s splitting wedge in my spine. But I知 pretty good otherwise. I値l be happy to touch my toes again.

Glad to hear the "I'm pretty good otherwise".

Something like a stack of proms and a thumbwheel switch- don't imagine that exists for this PCM.

There are dual chip/tune setups but it's not a cheap piece.

Ideally HPtuners would make a flexfuel os ready to go, but I don't think the demand is there (yet). I wish I had more of an electrical engineer background with some coding skills. But it was never really needed for my IT administration roles. I guess I have time to learn but programming doesn't really excite me.

I could say fuck it and order a microsquirt, cut up a stock pcm for the output header, and make a patch harness. That'd give me flex fuel, boost control - but it'd be batch fire, waste spark (not a big deal), no IAC, and I'd be out of I/O. I want to see how my brothers mustang works out with the micro. That car is a whole other story, it's still in operation get running as right as a ford can get!

I just wish someone sold E85 close to me.  William is running mid nines on it and I need a new alky set up.  Be a lot cheaper to convert than buy a new system.

E85 would be really really nice!  I wonder how the car would run when the weather starts getting cold?

Here is the equivalence ratio table I'll be using to get started.

E85 is damn near detonation proof...easier to tune...and safer than something going wrong with the alky kit at WOT. Alky kit is out of my car. Gonna run Erics 94 street chip with 20 lbs of fuel in it...and toss Erics 112 race chip in it at the track. I can have the tank drained in 5 minutes. I got it down to a science.
