check all of the bushings in the suspension as well, if you did not.

I looked it over pretty good. No bushings as it’s a ridged frame, steering is all in decent shape. The next thing will be cleaning the carb. It idles well and runs wot well but everything in between is crap.
The boys were pretty disappointed when I told them no rides today. Hopefully this weekend.

Steve next time just call me a dumb ass you were talking about the wheel bushings I assume. Probably not a bad idea to replace them.

I was not sure where, if any, it might have.  Depends on the type of front end it might have.  But yeah, if they need to be replaced, the wheel will have some movement in it when you attempt to flex it up, down, or sideways.

67F here today. I was able to open the barn doors and enjoy the fresh air.
I got all the wheel bearings replaced. Cleaned the carb, installed new fuel lines with a filter and shutoff. And lastly replaced the brake band. It went from zero drag to a considerable amount of drag so I’m thinking it’ll stop now.
New kingpins won’t be here until Monday. I haven’t told the boys yet - I may just have to put it back together or it’ll be a really long weekend lol

Brad those shifter carts are badass. After a lap around the neighborhood on that thing, I probably wouldn't be able to move.

I spent all day messing with the car. It kicked my ass, but I finally figured out my issues. I had the flex-fuel setup wrong, rather than a fuel flow multiplier - I had set a fuel flow offset. So in turn the Holley was dumping an additional 35lb/hr of fuel into the engine at idle on top of the fuel table when the tune has about 10lb/hr of fuel in the table. Whoops! It was much happier when I corrected that, but I diluted the oil to the point that it clattered a little when the idle surged. I've got the oil drained, I'll get it filled after the boys go to bed, and play with it more tomorrow.
I've got a full tank of e85 - testing 68% at the moment.
The rear end is silent - which surprised me, I guess give it some time...lol
55mph at 2500rpm - and boost is instant as soon as you roll into it. I need to get the gears broken in before I get too crazy.

Well, I was going to agree with you Brad - but check this out.
The first picture is a shot of my cheater bar.
Second picture - I couldn't have gotten any luckier. The axle for the roller on the lifter decided it wanted to be free. If it would have ejected it would have been game over. I need to look over everything real close but it looks like the cam and lifter bores are good too.

After all those years, I guess this is not to be unsuspected and I think we clearly know who is in the lucky category.  Go buy a few PowerBall tickets and order a new set of lifters!
