Stock pistons - some guys hit them with 300 and they live and others break them with 150. It's all in the tune.

I'm happy with the numbers :)

And who is tuning this thing?

Curious about the difference between the NA and nitrous tune.  Care to share the files?

Honestly Mike - I've always just knocked 4* of timing out of it for 100 and 6* out of it for 150. Car always runs well, the mph picks up accordingly, and the plugs read good.

Let me grab the tuning laptop and I'll post a link for you.

Interesting.  You run the same fixed TAF and VE tables in both tunes.  Are you spraying wet or dry?

Wet

Just timing - that is the only change.

So are you spraying to an AFR richer than the 12.8 you have the ECM programmed for N/A?

WBo2 normally shows 12.2-12.5 when spraying. I tend to not chase a number. I read the plugs and watch the mph on the slip. So far the jetting on this Nitrous outlet plate is pretty close out of the box.

VW ate it's timing chain on friday. Waiting for the new owners to come drag it home.

The plan is to go make some runs on Sunday. All I have for tires is a set of 255/60/16 BFG drag radial. I've got it hooking pretty well on the street but the 1-2 and 2-3 shift it knocks the tires off hard N/A. Hopefully a couple more clicks of compression will cure it. It did easy 1.7's with nittos so I'm hoping I can at least do that with these. I stuck the 100 jets in the plate - I'm going to be hit 5th N/A so might as well hit it with more power right

I swapped out my belts today with a new set, tech probably won't look but it's done. Need to change the oil and give everything a once over and it should be good.

Made 4 passes today. First one I had some traction issues. 2nd pass I left easier and it hopped in 1st and 2nd. Made some shock tweaks and it ran 11.7@118 almost 119 with a 1.7 60ft out of gear, so I lifted before the traps. Backed it up with a 11.8@118 and called it good.

My friend Dave has a 99 camaro 6 speed with a billet 74 on it. I don't think he ran it out the back door but it when 116 in the 1/8th. Stock bottom end, truck heads, z06 cam, good valve springs.

My nerve pain has been a roller coaster - today was a rough day, but I made it thru and still had a good time.

Your making decent HP at 118. 116 in the 1/8th is insane.

Yeah it's still a BAMFLS1, and it still runs hard in street trim.

I really wished I had went turbo instead of nitrous. My car pulls insanely hard on a 150 shot but that's still only a 104-105mph in the 1/8. Dave's car is a sleeper too. Sounds like a mild LS1 until you hear the turbo.

My brother and I have been talking about a junkyard ls swap with a turbo in something. Their is no cheaper easier or more reliable way to make power. Who cares if it dies when they are $300 from almost any salvage yard.

My brother got it done in his mustang. It went 13.08@107 with the junk motor we put together. It's got 3.27 gears and a T5 stick. We've got 4.10's to put in it. And we still haven't tuned it. I think it might have an 11 second pass in it.
