I had to kick the heat on out in the barn yesterday morning. Went from 45*F to 68*F in one 10 minute run and stayed above the 60*F stat setting for a few hours.

Gotta crank the heat up in mine shortly to watch the Leaf games in the evenings out there. That's definately a barn.

not with this baby 78/75
I've probably offset most of the turbo kit's weight.

35 pounds and E85=8.XX

If an old fuck like me can throw a leg over an R1 and lay down 3 back to back to back 130 MPH passes, you can turn an 8.

It’s the turbine Brad - at some point it’ll choke this engine with backpressure. On this engine I’d be surprised if it makes 20psi without putting the back pressure through the roof.
I’m thinking realistically high 9s at mid 130s once it’s sorted, it’ll probably run mid 11s just to spite me!

back to back 130 MPH passes

I did that with my Vmax in 1990. 10.96 best of 3 tries. Gleason ran 10.2 @131 in 1985.
Obvious conclusion-he and I share no DNA.

It's been 10.6x@133 and 10.7x@132 with the six speed and some dope.

VMAX's are badass! I recall seeing some guy on Youtube make some ungodly passes on a Vmax.

My dad could only get low 11s out of his vmax, but he’s pretty easy on stuff unlike me. He’s got exhaust and a jet kit in it now but hasn’t taken it back.

I will link to the official Yamaha promo. You can ff to about 3.30 and 6.00. To be clear, this is a '85 Max and the legendary Jay Gleason. The '85 would wheel dyno 150-155 hp. My '88 stock pulled 129. The good Yamaha parts were still available, afterwards it went 147hp.
Houston Raceway, mph did not vary 1 mph. First pass 11.34. 2nd 11.11. Then the 10.96.

I can't 60 foot this R1 to save my life. Best ET I ever did was high 11's. It's got a tall first gear and you have to slip the clutch like a whore. 10 grand in 1st and 2nd produces a wheelie. No problem hitting red line in 3rd and it goes through the traps at just under 13 grand in 4th. Acceleration is breathtaking.
